A small team that wears a lot of hats, and likes it that way.

TNWA runs out of an office in Ballajura, with a team that crosses NDIS service delivery, community programs, emergency relief, and the day to day of a working charity. Here's who's behind it.

ACNC Registered Charity. Based in Ballajura, Western Australia.

Four groups of people keep TNWA moving.

TNWA is small, and the lines between roles are softer than they’d be in a bigger organisation. Plenty of weeks, an admin lead is also helping pack pantry donations, and a programs coordinator is running an excursion. That’s part of how the model works.

That said, the team divides naturally into four groups. Each one carries a different part of what we do.

01

The Office Team

The people behind the desks at the Ballajura office. They hold the operational side of TNWA. Coordination, scheduling, intake, programs, and the systems that keep the rest of it running.

Most of them have also packed pantry donations or covered an excursion at some point. The roles flex when they need to.

02

The Support Workers

The team delivering NDIS supports day to day, alongside the participants we work with. In homes, at GRT, on excursions, in shopping centres, wherever the support has to land.

Every support worker is interviewed, reference-checked, screened, and inducted before their first shift, and the standard runs all the way through.

03

The Board

Governance, oversight, and the strategic direction the charity reports against. The board holds the executive team accountable and brings sector experience and lived experience into the room.

Currently being refreshed, with a vacant position pending and the broader structure under review. Full board profiles will publish here once the new board is settled.

04

The Volunteers

Not on the payroll, but as much a part of TNWA as anyone. Volunteers help out across the board, from community events to office support to pantry sorting, wherever an extra set of hands makes the difference.

A few hours a year goes further than people tend to think. Volunteers are how a lot of what we do gets across the line.

The people behind the desks at the office.

The office team holds the operational side of TNWA together. We’ve grown from one person and a single desk in late 2024 to where we are now. Below, in their own words, mostly. We add new team profiles to this page as they’re written and approved.

Most days I'm advocating for people who feel unheard, and turning "someone should do something about that" into something we've actually done. Working alongside other charities is one of my strongest values, because nothing meaningful gets built alone. The proudest moments have been building this with my daughters, Imogen and Indhi.

Fun fact. Can juggle oranges, which feels oddly relevant to running a community organisation.

    Imogen Albert-Tristram

    General Manager she/her

I've worked in disability and community services for six years, and never in any other field. I started in frontline admin and worked up to general manager, where I oversee operations, build out internal systems, and develop new programs. The reason I care is personal, with lived experience of disability, mental health, and DV in my own family.

Fun fact. Legal name on the birth certificate is "Imogem" thanks to a typo.

    Gerry Gammell

    Community Care Coordinator he/him

No two days are ever the same, which I kind of love. I'm the first point of contact for new clients, I manage intake and compliance for both TNWA and the NDIS side, and I look after our partnership with Cares WA and the emergency relief work. I started as a support worker in Ireland at 18, and healthcare is the career I'll retire in.

Fun fact. Can't swim. Yes, I live in WA. Yes, I know.

    Anna Da Silva

    Programs Coordinator she/her

I oversee our ASDAN disability education programs. Planning sessions, managing enrolments, reviewing student work, and working with allied health providers when the connection helps. Inclusion has always mattered to me, and the transition from school to adulthood is a real gap. Programs like ASDAN are how young people keep building skills and independence.

    Fiona Pollock

Social Solutions Coordinator & GRT Facilitator she/her

I arrange experiences that gently push people outside their comfort zone, and others that get folks back into the community in ways that suit them. A big part of my week is setting up and facilitating Get Ready Together. The reason this work matters is the moments. Hearing someone's had a better year. Handing out gifts at Christmas.

  • Portrait of Indhi Albert-Tristram, Administrator and Lead Scheduler.

    Indhi Albert-Tristram

    Administrator & Lead Scheduler she/her

Day to day, I keep things running behind the scenes. Rosters, shifts, last-minute changes, problem-solving, and making sure both staff and participants feel looked after. I've got family members living with different disabilities, and I've seen what the right support actually does for someone's confidence and independence.

Fun fact. Two middle names and two last names.

  • Portrait of Aastha Kelawala, Receptionist.
    Admin

    Aastha Kelawala

    Receptionist she/her

I handle participant onboarding, organise service agreements, manage data entry, and pick up whatever else the office needs. I also help build internal forms and systems that make paperwork less painful for staff and participants. The thing I care about most is making people feel supported when they're navigating something stressful.

Fun fact. Weirdly good at organising and colour-coding things. Spreadsheets, forms, schedules, anything that needs sorting.

  • Portrait of Lorraine Marcuccilli, Bookkeeper.
    Admin

    Lorraine Marcuccilli

    Bookkeeper she/her

I reconcile the accounts and process payroll. The behind-the-scenes part of the operation that keeps the rest of it running cleanly. I joined TNWA because I enjoy watching organisations grow, and getting through the charity's first year of accounts is something I'm quietly proud of.

Fun fact. Can turn my hand to most DIY jobs around the home.

  • Portrait of Harmony Hlwar, Marketing Coordinator.
    Marketing

    Harmony Hlwar

    Marketing Coordinator she/her

I coordinate marketing campaigns, digital marketing, graphic design, and brand strategy. I came on early enough to have full creative control over how TNWA was going to look, which has been a rare privilege. The thing that keeps me here is using marketing to amplify community impact and raise awareness for underrepresented groups.

Fun fact. Obsessed with cats. I've named all of mine after food.

  • Portrait of Robyn Wellington, Social Media and Marketing Assistant.
    Marketing

    Robyn Wellington

Social Media & Marketing Assistant she/her

I help produce content and publication material for print and social media. I love this work because I get to push past my comfort zone trying things I've always been too intimidated to attempt. (I'm looking at you, After Effects.) And it's a job where I help spread joy, awareness, and real change.

Fun fact. Classically trained vocally and on the piano.

Our support workers.

The support workers on the TNWA team are the reason the rest of this works.

They show up, shift after shift, alongside the people we support, and they’re the ones who carry the day-to-day relationships.

Every support worker on the team is interviewed, reference-checked, screened, and inducted before their first shift, and the standard runs all the way through. If you’ve worked as a support worker before, or you’re thinking about it, we’d love to hear from you. Start your application today.

The board.

TNWA is governed by a board of directors who oversee the strategic direction of the charity, hold the executive team accountable, and bring sector experience and lived experience into the room. The board is currently being refreshed, with a vacant position pending and the broader structure under review.

Full board profiles will be published here once the new board is in place.

And then there's the volunteers.

Our volunteers are the heart of everything we do.

As a charity, we depend on people who are willing to give a little of their free time to help our local community thrive. There’s a place for everyone.

Whether you’d like to lend a hand with admin tasks around the office or join us at our events, your support makes a real difference. If you’re interested in volunteering, we’d love to hear from you, and you can apply online today.
